Protests Grow in D.C. Over SCOTUS Leak

After yesterday’s news that the SCOTUS was close to ending Roe v. Wade, protests over the decision have grown all over the country.

The news has since sparked massive outrage from both pro-lifers and pro-choicers. With protests kicking off in Washington D.C. as we speak.

Conservatives are already calling this whole situation out for what it is: another Democrat last-ditch attempt to regain voter support just 6 months ahead of the midterms.

Many have also drawn the parallels between now, and what the country looked like just 2 years ago during the summer of “mostly peaceful protests.”

As one Twitter user by the name of An0maly put it, “[the] Roe vs. Wade leak is an obvious way to give the failing Democrats a talking point to win the next election.”

“It’s working. They’re moving back up in odds for the first time in months,” he added.

Some users are even speculating about how fast protestors were able to organize in just a matter of hours. All despite this bombshell story coming out of seemingly nowhere.

Prominent Democrats, on the other hand, are capitalizing on this opportunity. Ignoring the leaker part of this story altogether to demonize pro-lifers and Republicans instead. While also smearing SCOTUS as “far-right.”

Consider Elizabeth Warren’s comments for example: “An extremist Supreme Court is poised to overturn #RoeVWade and impose its far-right, unpopular views on the entire country.”

“It’s time for the millions who support the Constitution and abortion rights to stand up and make their voices heard,” she added.

Warren ended her rant with the phrase, “We’re not going back—not ever.” This is notably the same phrase being repeated in Washington D.C. amongst pro-choice protestors right now.

Managing Editor of The Babylon Bee, Joel Berry, was quick to highlight the similarities between Warren’s rhetoric and inciting an “insurrection.”

AOC has used this opportunity to fearmonger her base about how SCOTUS overturning Roe V. Wade will eventually lead to the reversal of gay and civil rights. Causing some of her followers to call for “court-packing” yet again.

Nancy Pelosi shared on Twitter: “If the report is accurate, the Supreme Court is poised to inflict the greatest restriction of rights in the past fifty years – not just on women but on all Americans.”

Of course, these words are only adding fuel to the fire as more and more people head to Washington D.C. to try and sway the justices’ ruling.

Democrat talking heads will face zero repercussions for their rhetoric, so they will continue to use their platforms to spark outrage amongst their base.

Wasn’t that the point of all this anyway?

The question is: will this reality shift be enough to save Democrats ahead of midterms?
