Democrats today are terrified. They’re terrified of losing power and being rejected by the American public.
For the past two years, Democrats have been using the COVID virus to push fear, tyranny, endless mandates, and the destruction of anyone who questions this. At the same time, Democrats have worked to raise taxes, spread lies about US elections, and demonize their political opposition.
Americans are tired of it. The exasperation with leftist antics is more than apparent in the polls and falling support for left-wing policies.
Amid the increasing lack of support, Democrats have reached a new low where they feel compelled to fearmonger as a means of getting back support. There’s no better example of this than House Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, as TheBlaze covers.
While participating in an interview with The New Yorker, the Democrat Congresswoman strangely declared that the United States is at risk of not having a democracy within one decade.
Ocasio-Cortez admittedly believes supportive evidence of this claim exists in politics she described as “reactionary” and “white nationalist.” The House Democrat continued by citing a supposed “takeover” of US systems currently based in democracy.
The oddest part of Ocasio-Cortez’s remarks to The New Yorker arrived when she predicted the United States would regress to the Jim Crow era.
Since the release of the Congresswoman’s interview, many Americans have gone on social media to share their thoughts. The overwhelming consensus is that Ocasio-Cortez’s statements are bizarre and not in keeping with reality.
Objectively, there’s just no indication that America is sliding back into Jim Crow racism. In the past couple of years, the Democrat Party (of which Ocasio-Cortez is a member) has become increasingly hostile towards not just democracy but also freedom.
Democrats have made it very clear they believe everyone should fall in line with what they claim is right through the mandates pushed by the left. It explains why Biden tried to enact mandates that would make folks lose their jobs if they didn’t get the COVID vaccines. This mandate isn’t in effect because Republicans fought it to the Supreme Court to overturn it.
Interestingly enough, Ocasio-Cortez did not mention the danger of big government or autocratic edicts when discussing the danger US democracy faces. However, it is par for the course when it comes to the left. They consistently project and accuse others of doing what they are blameworthy.
