Joe Rogan has canceled his upcoming sold-out live performance in Canada because he isn’t vaccinated.

“My 4/20 show that’s sold out in Vancouver — I don’t think that’s happening,” said Rogan during a Christmas Eve episode of his podcast. “I don’t think I can even get into the country. I’m not vaccinated. I’m not going to get vaccinated. I have antibodies, it doesn’t make any sense.”

LiveNation, the event promoter and venue operator contracted to help Rogan put on his shows, canceled the event via a Facebook announcement.

Media reports have also confirmed with Ticketmaster that the organizers of the April 20 show at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia have canceled the event. The National Desk reached out to Ticketmaster to obtain independent verification and will update this story if it is received.

Currently, fully vaccinated foreign nationals can enter Canada for discretionary travel. Unvaccinated individuals seeking to enter Canada for more essential reasons, like work, may be able to enter depending upon the determination of a government official at the traveler’s port of entry.

In September, Rogan admitted publicly on social media that he had contracted COVID-19. At that time, Rogan had not yet disclosed his vaccination status, according to Daily Mail reporting.

The well-known podcast voice and longtime UFC commentator quarantined from his family after feeling very ill and said he ultimately tested positive for COVID-19.

So, we immediately threw the kitchen sink at it. All kinds of meds – monoclonal antibodies, ivermectin, Z-Pak, prednisone, everything,” Rogan said in a video he posted to social media discussing the situation. “And I also got an NAD drip and a vitamin drip and I did that three days in a row, and so here we are on Wednesday and I feel great.

Rogan’s infection forced him to reschedule a live show he was holding in Nashville that month.

“My apologies to everyone,” Rogan continued in his video. “It is what it is, crazy times we’re living in. But a wonderful heartfelt thank you to modern medicine for pulling me out of this so quickly and easily and my love to all of you.”
